POLICY STATEMENT OF THE JIMI HENDRIX FOUNDATION - 01/26/2007

When Al Hendrix, the father of Jimi Hendrix commissioned the Jimi Hendrix Foundation (a.k.a. the James Marshall Hendrix Foundation), he wanted his son recognized and remembered for good and charitable deeds done in his name for the 'community'. The term community meaning the world community at large.

The Jimi Hendrix Foundation will always be true to that commission.

The main focus of that commission is to help young people, adolescents, and children where-ever and whenever they are in need.

We are non-political, but we are advocates for social justice and equality for all.

Because of the particular nature of Jimi Hendrix's demise and other family issues, we don't support the recreational use of drugs and alcohol. And we will never accept funds or donations of any kind from organizations or enterprises that generate their revenues or profits from these activities.

We don't condemn those who choose a different course, but it would be sending mixed messages to Jimi's fans and constituents to do otherwise.

We will sponsor and finance projects dealing with music, educational, and health programs.

All people of goodwill are welcome to participate with the Jimi Hendrix Foundation and those fore mentioned endeavors.

James (Jimmy) Williams
